Vitamin C
what it does
A potent antioxidant that neutralises UV-induced free radicals, inhibits melanin synthesis, and boosts collagen production. L-ascorbic acid is the most bioactive and well-studied form.
Your morning shield against the sun being an asshole to your collagen. L-ascorbic acid (the real deal) is finicky as hell — oxidises fast, stings on sensitive skin — but nothing else touches its glow-up results. Worth the drama.

Historically thought to cause flushing (nicotinic acid formation), but modern stable formulations show minimal interaction. Low concern.
💡 Generally safe together. Separate by 30 min if you notice any flushing.
