Glycolic Acid
what it does
The smallest AHA molecule, glycolic acid penetrates deepest for maximum exfoliation, collagen stimulation, and pigmentation correction. The most clinically studied alpha-hydroxy acid.
The brute-force exfoliant. Smallest molecule = deepest penetration = most dramatic results. It will make your skin glow or make you peel โ entirely depending on whether you respect the percentage. Start low, patch test, don't get reckless.

Glycolic acid increases tretinoin absorption and risk of irritation. Use glycolic strictly in AM and tretinoin strictly at night.
๐ก AM: glycolic acid. PM: tretinoin only. Never same session.
Both promote cell turnover โ layering them risks over-exfoliation, redness, and prolonged sensitivity.
๐ก Alternate nights. Do not layer in the same session.
