A naturally occurring compound found in comfrey root that promotes skin cell proliferation and has mild keratolytic and soothing properties. Common in wound healing and sensitive skin formulations.

Underrated as hell. Allantoin is in literally every 'sensitive skin' product because it calms irritation, speeds up skin repair, and does light exfoliation without being aggressive. Check your existing products — it's probably already in there.
